When you were a little girl, your brothers only said your name to remind you how fat you were. It’s very easy to promote self-love, but in real life, when people made you feel like trash during so much time, it’s like curing and addiction: hard and very painful. It’s hard to see oneself pretty when the only thing that you see on TV and magazines are tall girls, tanned, blonde straight hair and blue eyes. Showing something that you will never have. You are short, fat, brunette with big hips. But there was a breaking point: you started throwing up, you stopped eating. We are still in a gray zone, on a healthy diet, wanting to feel better, wearing the clothes that we like, because we -I- understood that we don’t have to adjust to what is being publicized but what is good for our body.
