Lucía Vázquez is a journalist and photographer based in New York City and Buenos Aires City, where she was born in 1993. She received a bachelor's degree in Journalistic Communication at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina in 2015. Between 2013 and 2017, she studied photography at Motivarte Photography School in Buenos Aires and at the International Center of Photography in New York. She has worked as a writer, editor, photographer and videographer for the Judiciary of the City of Buenos Aires since 2012, where she reports on court decisions regarding social matters for the news website iJudicial. Between 2015 and 2016, she has also worked as a bilingual writer (Spanish - Portuguese) for The Walt Disney Company Argentina, in its initiatives Compromiso Disney/Disney Cidadania. An experimented travel journalist and photographer, she has published over a dozen articles (text and photos) about her journeys in Japan, New Zealand, Argentina and the United States in Rumbos Magazine, UNO media, Travel Magazine, Marco Polo Magazine and Alta Magazine from Aerolíneas Argentinas, Argentina's flag carrier. She is currently enrolled in the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program at the International Center of Photography, where she was awarded The Wall Street Journal Scholarship.
